  guys;.

  i normally come on here, and am strong and very vocal in me distain for the borg and all the things it entailed.

  just feeling a bit sad for myself tonight and wanted to tell my friends.. my birthday was yesterday.

  The WT holds those we love hostage. They do this on purpose to control us. Part of breaking free from this grip of spiritual tyrany is loss....of one kind or another. You and your nephew are paying a high cost for freedom, now.

  However, time is on your side and you have "broken trail" for your nephew to follow. When he fully understands the reality of all of this, there will be a backlash against the ones that promoted this emotional atrocity.

  So, all you can do, now, is feel the pain and keep the hope.

  whilst a jw, one thing that was evident to me was the constant gossip and backbiting.....being nice to someones face and then talking about them behind there backs.were you ever a "victim" of this sort of behaviour???

  is it as common as i suspect from cong.

  I paid close attention.

  Took a lot of notes.

  Answered, a lot, however, almost always last...there is a story behind that....

  I greeted all.

  Was one of the last to leave (yes, my poor wife......)

  And, it got me a bowl of pus, covered in vomit, and sprinkled with fecal matter.

  "Now wasn't that a tasty dish to set before the King?"

  The FDS and the 144,000

  would someone please verify and explain the following wts theocratic arrangement for me.

  it is my understanding that the fds is made up of all members of the anointed who are on earth (wt march 1,2004 page 10 par.

  9), and that this fds class is represented on earth by the governing body.

  Welcome aboard.

  Good post.

  The May WT is so dynamic: it is the foundation for some HEAVY mutations. This had to come about (as I have mentioned on this board a few times) because the numbers were not working.

  The mutaion, I believe, will end up with the "tribes" of Revalation being "all of Jehovah's people." The 144,000 will be either symbolic or literal and, still, represent the heavenly class. The FDS will be those in positions of leadership. All, earthly and heavenly, will be in the New Covenant. All will partake of the bread and wine at the bastardized Lord's Meal the JWs hold annually.

  I will be stunned if the above does not happen.....

  perhaps this paradoxical "topic" is one with which we here have dealt a little more, or a little more consciously, than the average population.. we used to have our heads full of beliefs (which we called "truth") in every direction: on theology, on cosmology, on paleontology, on past history, on so-called prophetic future, on heaven above, on earth, on she'ol beneath.

  on many things -- current events, traditions, other peoples' beliefs and behaviours -- we had strong opinions which were directly or indirectly (the famous "conscience" matters) part of the same deal.

  and of course our life was filled with activities and relationships, a community of "friends," people to "help" or "teach," etc.. then, gradually or suddenly, we came to suspect, often with a measure of terror, that all of this was not what we had thought and might sooner or later turn into... nothing.. this "nothing" is perhaps one of the most scary thoughts to people contemplating leaving the org one way or another.
